Greg is a pioneer in the development of compact, high-precision radar technology. He is the author of Small and Short-Range Radar Systems and co-founder of Hyperfine Research and Butterfly Network. At MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Greg created a through-wall radar imaging system, and at the MIT Media Lab he built a time-of-flight microwave camera. He is an editor of the book series, Modern and Practical Approaches to Electrical Engineering, and his MIT course, “Build a Small Radar,” was the top-ranked MIT professional education course in 2011. Greg received his PhD, MSc and BSc degrees in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.
